destination antwerp - stools for julija's

A beautiful day, destination Antwerp (which itself is always nice).
Today with four stools in the back of the car,
To deliver them at the finest wool shop, you can imagine; Julija's shop.
For a real wolfreak, it is wool heaven on earth!

On the beaches of the Costa de la Luz,
I worked sometimes (actually you can not call it work)
crocheting squares, 36 small projects,
together a baby blanket.

Once finished, the bright and excellent location for a baby blanket photoshoot was available.

costa de la luz - ixxi - collage

It's feels so good to keep the sweet holiday memories alive.

Yay for the costa de la luz - ixxi - collage!

la cortina de la carnicería

Our vacation was relaxed and adventurous at the same time.
In a beautiful part of Spain,
fairly quiet and very authentic.
Back in time at the Costa de la Luz and enjoy such ordinary things,
like a plastic curtain at the butcher.

On the Plaza de España we found the jewel of Vejer de la Frontera; Garimba sur!
A beautiful and charming restaurant, with thé perfect terrace.
And than the food, so pure!
Everything tasted muy bien.
The delicious gazpacho, patatas bravas and solomillo (with melting flor de sal) we could not resist and came back more than once...

Born on August 1
I'm lucky to celebrate my birthday in a special place with my loved ones.
Since ages it's a glorious tradition and this year we partied in Cadiz.
There was a pretty strong breeze, hence the deserted beach...

nuestra casa blanca

nuestra casa blanca, a photo by wood & wool stool on Flickr.

I didn't know it even existed; a real 'pueblo blanco'.
No billboards, no disturbing elements and yes every single house is white in Vejer de la Frontera.
Our casa blanca was perfect, situated in the middle of the village.
A sober house, but stylish. No ugly decoration or wrong seat (absolutely nothing to put away)
A small home with roof terrace (sometimes a bit windy).
Okay, not everything's white.
From here we started our beach days (almost every time another beach) and visits to the beautiful Spanish cities Cadiz, Jerez, Seville and Tarifa.

In the harbor of the old fishing village Barbate,
beauty of faded glory,
wooden shipwrecks,
half sunken boats,
oh all these enviable sun-bleached boards.
If only I could bring some...

Here we are in Tarifa, the southernmost part of Spain and we could almost touch Morocco.
